Alain Burban Sports Complex, La Baule-Escoublac, France
The Alain Burban sports centre in the French town of La Baule-Escoublac was refurbished to turn it into a multifunctional facility. It hosts a wide variety of sports: rugby, basketball, football, handball, pétanque, gymnastics, archery, hockey and tennis, to name but a few. The 1,000 m2 all-purpose sports hall has a grandstand with a capacity of 320, while the 1,000 m2 gymnasium seats 200 and the multipurpose room with its 1,500 m2 synthetic floor can hold 160 spectators.
The complex also houses offices and a 300 m2 party venue. The sports amenities, covering 5,731 m2, comply with HQE™ standards, attesting to their high environmental quality. The partitions are glazed entirely with fire-resistant Pyrobel 16 Vision Line and Vision Line Corner glass.
