Today, we are proud to announce the new Low-Carbon Pyrobel Glass featuring a significantly reduced carbon footprint.

Did you know?
AGC has a large portfolio of products featuring third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). Pyrobel has been EPD certified since 2018 showing best in its class results: Pyrobel 16 features 60,5 kg CO2 eq,/m² - Pyrobel 25 features 98,1 kg CO2 eq./m².
The Low-Carbon Pyrobel Glass combines the performance of AGC’s Low-Carbon Glass (official EPD received in May 2024), the use of green electricity and the optimization of the manufacturing process to achieve a 45-50% reduction of embodied carbon footprint compared to the standard Pyrobel.
Currently products available: Pyrobelite 10, Pyrobel 16, Pyrobel 25.
Other compositions will be available at a later stage.
Properties
- Same aesthetics, quality and technical performance as traditional Pyrobel glass products.
- Tested and approved for wooden, steel and aluminium framing systems.
- Safety glass compliant with EN 12600 classifying impact resistance and mode of breakage (3B3, 2B2 or 1B1 according to product type).
- Bi-directional fire resistance.
- Can be laminated with burglar- and bullet-resistant AGC glazings.
