Science Tower of Hasselt - Belgium

Hasselt University's Science Tower was officially opened on 17th September.
"In this five-storey tower, our students and researchers from the physics and chemistry programmes have access to state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories," says Rector Bernard Vanheusden.

The laboratories and stairwells of the new building have been fitted with Pyrobel Vision Line glazing to achieve the design brief of highly transparent glazed walls together with the strict fire safety requirements for laboratory environments. 313 m² of EI60 fire resistant glazed walls were installed and it is almost impossible to tell the difference between fire resistant and non-fire resistant glass walls.
