Special fire test constructions for Pyrobel 16

We fire test different types of construction methods and products together with the glass in order to show how safe our products are and how they resist to heat transmission or insulation loss through the glass.

We did a special fire test construction that is even more challenging than standard constructions:

• we tested a decorative film from outside the glass and tracked its behavior to check that the film would not negatively influence the fire performance of the glazing system
• we tested glazing beads fixation with nails instead of screws as an additional option for installers

Even with this fast installation method we succeeded this fire test with EI38 min (overrun) with an EI 30 fire resistant glass product, Pyrobel 16!
